Registration and Course Information

Is there a problem with your schedule? Please read through the Serrano Class Correction Policy to see if you qualify for a class correction:

CLASS CORRECTION POLICY

Per the Serrano Class Correction Policy (located in the Serrano Student Handbook), class changes will be made for the following reasons only: 

1. The student needs the class for graduation, or a senior needs a class to meet college entrance requirements
2. The student has two classes the same period
3. There is a missing class period in the student’s schedule
4. The student already passed the class
5. The student is placed in the wrong grade level or sequence level class
6. Seniors who qualify for a reduced-period day or a junior or senior who qualifies for a Mentor position
7. At the end of the fall semester, seniors who have completed a core class may take a reduced-period day or Mentor position (if they qualify), a PE course, or a tryout or application class if they are accepted. No other elective changes will be made at the semester. 

Students who meet one or more of the qualifications listed above must fill out and submit the Class Correction Request Form, linked below.

Class Correction Request Forms will only be accepted for the first two weeks of the school year. This form will be closed at 3pm on Wednesday, August 26th.

Please note: 

-Class changes will not be made for teacher or period preference.

-Students who signed the Honors/Advanced/Advanced Placement Contract will remain in those classes the entire school year.

-Students may be placed in a similar elective class if the class they originally chose on their CRC is no longer available, due to the course being full or no longer running.

-Students who do not choose enough alternate electives on their CRC, as advised during the registration process, will be placed in any available electives and will need to remain in that class for the year.
