This past Saturday, November 4th, Seven of Serrano’s DECA chapter members competed in their first competition to include Sports and Entertainment Team Decision Making and Apparel and Accessories Marketing Series. The competitions are designed to simulate real-life business scenarios and test students’ academic understanding and skills learned in the classroom. They took a 100 question Marketing exam and then competed in two role-play scenarios as the VP of Marketing for their unique scenario.

Our students competed against 214 students from all over southern California; from San Diego up to Ventura. Fabian Mendoza Duarte (12) took 2nd overall in Apparel and Accessories while Fallon Collins (12) placed in the top 8, "Finalist". Tristen Bertie (9) and Jaqueline Bibiano (11) placed in the top 8, "Finalist" for Sports and Entertainment.
